The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients nsfas check automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing nsfas login Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 my nsfas and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
